What pure white means

The background in the file you receive is #FFFFFF, the plain white most marketplaces require for a main image, with the product cleanly separated from it. Every image is retouched before delivery: dust and lint removed, and color corrected to match the product.

It is the cheapest shot in the catalogue because it is the most repeatable one, and that is also why it works for a whole range: the hundredth product sits on the same white as the first.

Shooting your own? Our guide to getting a pure white background covers the lighting, the retouching and the rules Google Shopping and Shopify set.

Your size, margins and format

  • Pixel size and margins saved as a spec and applied to every image in the order
  • JPG and PNG included; TIFF and PSD files are $3 more an image each
  • A transparent or solid colored background instead of white is $3 more an image

When white is not enough

White shows the product; it does not show fit, scale or movement. Most stores pair the white main image with extra angles, scale and on-model shots, and clothing brands often use a ghost mannequin shot as the white image for structured garments.

Questions

Is the background really pure white?

Yes. Every image is retouched onto #FFFFFF before delivery, so it meets the white-background rule most marketplaces set for a main image.

Can I have a transparent background instead?

Yes. Choose a transparent or a solid colored background in your image spec; either is $3 more an image.

What is included in the per-image price?

The studio, the photographer, steaming and styling, professional retouching, a pure white background, the angles you ask for, and unlimited usage rights on product images. Nothing is added on top. What the price includes.

How long does it take?

Images are delivered in 3 to 10 business days, depending on your plan, counted from the day both your products and your payment have arrived. Expedited delivery costs 25% more and rush 50% more, and both shorten the deadline. Model shoots take longer, because casting comes first.

How do I get my products to you?

Ship them to our Brooklyn studio from anywhere in the US. You can arrange the label through your dashboard at live carrier rates or use your own. When you order you choose what happens afterwards: we ship them back, donate them, or dispose of them. Shipping guide.

Is there a minimum order?

Without a membership, an order needs at least 5 images. Members have no minimum. On-model work has a minimum of 20 images, because a model is booked for the day whatever the count.

Can I ask for changes after delivery?

Yes. You have 7 days after delivery to request edits on the frame itself in your gallery. Fixes are free when the fault is ours, such as a missed shot, a color that does not match your reference, or wrong reflections. Other edits are $25 an hour, and anything under an hour is free. Revision policy.

How do I pay?

You send your shoot request unpaid. We check it, then send an invoice, and paying it confirms the order. Bank transfer (ACH), Zelle and checks carry no fee; cards add 3%.
